Matrical sample storage tubes are designed to facilitate sample tracking and identification for laboratories of any size faced with the challenges of long term sample storage. Each tube is permanently marked with a 2D data matrix barcode, and is factory approved for readability and uniqueness. Use Matrical’s barcoded sample storage tubes and tube racks to securely store, track and simplify sample identification.
Matrical offers ANSI/SBS formatted tubes (96 and 384 wells). All storage tubes and tube racks are robotics friendly and validated in cold storage temperatures as low as -80°C. The use of these tubes eliminates sample degradation caused by multiple freeze-thaw cycles by providing individual sample removal of needed samples.

Automated Sample Tracking
To provide rapid and reliable identification, Matrical offers 2D barcoded 96 & 384 sample storage tubes. Use the Scan X 2D barcode reader to import storage tube data (sample contents, concentration, weight, etc.) directly into your laboratory database. Tube racks can be scanned for identification of individual tubes and scanned upon departure and return for an auditable travel log readability.

Permanent Laser Etched 2D Barcodes
The preferred coding method for long term sample storage, our laser-etched 2D barcodes will not peel or fade with time. Our high grade polypropylene tubes are both abrasion and chemically resistant, ensuring readability for the life time of your sample. Matrical uses 12x12 data matrix barcodes to store 144 alphanumeric characters. Matrical barcodes utilize ECC200 error correction encoding, even if there is partial damage to the tube's barcode, the 2D barcode can still be read. |

Robotics Compatible Tubes and Racks
Matrical sample storage tube racks are design for use with robotic handling devices. The sides of the racks contain reinforced plastic for rigorous handling by robotic grippers. Matrical sample storage tube racks utilize “tube snap in” technology, ensuring tubes are securely in place and centered, for robotic sample cherry picking.
